  11.     We have developed a series of tests to discern the important 
  12. differences between 8 different thread management schemes.  These tests 
  13. have been developed on an SGI Iris with 4 processors.  Because of the 
  14. difficultly in drawing conclusions from so few data points, we would like 
  15. to request the use of an Iris with more processors.  Our tests take 
  16. approx 4 hrs to run, and could be done in multi, or single user mode.
